Member Benefits & Services

Referrals:
Free website exposure and website link at http://www.RCACAL.org.

Legislative and Regulatory Advocacy:
RCAC advances our agenda in the legislative and regulatory arenas.  RCAC's registered lobbyist and committee members work to review and comment on all proposed laws affecting the roofing industry before the California State Legislature, Contractors State License Board, California Energy Commission, California Building Standards Commission, and other boards and commissions.

Legislative Summit:
For the last seven years, RCAC has been hosting this event each spring in Sacramento.  This daylong program is designed to keep you abreast of the latest events affecting the roofing industry, politically, regulatorally, and legislatively.  The morning program of guest speakers is followed by a hosted lunch and meetings with your local representatives.

Insurance Program:
RCAC has partnered with the State Compensation Insurance Fund to provide a workers' compensation insurance program strictly for roofers.  RCAC members may qualify for 6% off State Fund's individual rates.  Group Program #639 is an open program, which allows non-concurrent renewal dates to join.  Take advantage of this member benefit by calling and asking for Kent Woodward, RCAC's State Fund Representative at (916) 263-7380.

Newsletter & Website:
RCAC's newsletter the California Roofer and the website are the main tools for communicating with the membership.  They contain information regarding trends in the roofing industry, regulatory and legislative affairs, upcoming meeting information, annual conference material and miscellaneous articles submitted by colleagues and roofing industry experts.

Public Relations:
The Board of Directors and staff work to facilitate accurate coverage of issues relating to the roofing industry.  RCAC also interacts with allied groups such as the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA), as well as regional roofing contractor associations to promote the industry in an efficient manner.

Discounts:
At the RCAC meetings, seminars, and roof training, as well as NRCA & WSRCA conventions and trade shows and on NRCA publications and audiovisual materials.

RCAC Annual Membership Directory:
As a member of RCAC you will receive our annual Membership Directory, a valuable marketing and networking tool, which includes Affiliate organizations, historical information and bylaws.

Join one of the RCAC Committees and become involved in issues directly effecting the Roofing Industry, which builds strength in the Industry.

It is good to remember that the contacts and friendships formed here are invaluable.  We will make you more knowledgeable and valuable to your firm.
